Case Study WildJam Retreat

In June 2015, Anton Chernikov organised WildJam, a retreat to offer people an escape from hectic (London) life and (re)connect with nature and each other at a tranquil location in Devon. Various people contributed to the programme for the retreat. I was given the opportunity to facilitate a workshop which aimed to help build a sense of community among the people attending WildJam.

Guided by appreciative questions, people entered into meaningful conversations and shared success stories of being and feeling truly connected within a community. Next they explored their individual and joint aspirations for a truly connected communities, what specifically would be different from their current experience of community and what would help.

By focusing on what they wanted to create more of within the group and using an approach that fosters relationships, people were able to start building their own WildJam community as they were attending the workshop.
